Pedigree
In 2006, Moon aged three was one of the first arrivals to Fort Macleod from the Blackfeet reservation, Browning, Montana where he was born.
Moon has had 150 days of training so far. His first trainer was Sandy Hester, of S & R Horse Training, Fort Macleod, Alberta 2006-2009. In 2011 he trained with Camille Dareau in Le Gers, France.
Due to Covid in 2020 training plans in place for Moon and Santiago had to be set aside .
Moon is very laid back and easy-going. He ensured his place as lead male in the herd early on. One of his roles has been to mentor our colts, being both protective and considerate with the youngsters as well as respectful to people. He is playful, even at the age of eighteen, and the one to lead Santiago and their mare companion for a game or a good gallop across the field.
Moon is the poster-child Spanish Mustang for Sarah's arts research. Many of the digitized images are from photographs of Moon. His beautiful blue roan colour with blue corn markings are a visual experience in person and in photography.
Moon was named after this song.
